Amaravati Master Plan Released by Andhra Pradesh Government

The state government of Andhra Pradesh released the master plan of Amravati, the new capital of AP on Monday. The master plan is designed by Singapore based agency. As per the designed master plan, the capital city spans an area of 217 square kilometer between Vijayawada and Guntur towns, and leverages resources of the Krishna river that flows in the region. The master plan will guide the development of Amaravati up to 2050.

Amaravati, the newest capital of AP incorporated the concept of modern construction, touches three national highways, and will be fed by seven growth corridors including those from Hyderabad to Machlipatnam Port and from Chennai to Visakhapatnam.

The draft master plan of Amaravati is completed in all respects, was submitted to Andhra Pradesh Government in December last year.

Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) has submitted the final master plan for the AP capital Amaravati to AP government. The draft master plan was already submitted in December last year.

The objections and concerns of the farmers were collected till January 20th following which the final master plan was prepared. Post the submission of the CRDA report on the Capital master plan, the state government has released the final master plan for Amaravati on Monday.
