Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has allowed 31,599 affordable housing units to be constructed in the Ahmedabad which are constructed by the private developers. These housing would units boost the real estate market of the city.
The price range of these housing units will starts from Rs 7 lakh which goes upto Rs 14 lakh and these housing units would be located at different location of the city.
The affordable houses would be available in 165 different project and the houses will have an area ranging from 50 square meter to 80 square meter. Out of total, maximum housing project will be situated in Ramol, Vastral, Narol, Vatva and Nikol. These projects will launched for completing the huge demand for 2BHK and 1BHK apartments, especially for the working middle class and lower middle class. The finance schemes are also being made available to them.
There are 20,391 housing units that have a carpet area of up to 50 square meters, there are 9,248 housing units that have a carpet area of 50 to 66 square meters and there are 1,960 housing units that have a size of 66 to 80 square meters.
Many housing schemes were floated by civic body and Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA) has added just 10,000 affordable and EWS houses in the city. The authority has given permissions to construct 31,599 affordable housing units in the city over the next one year. This is because of the rising demand from the workforce that has jobs in the industrial belt around the city.
