95,000 More Houses Sanctioned Under 2BHK Housing Scheme in Telangana

Telangana government has added 95,000 more houses under state’s ambitious scheme “2BHK Housing Scheme“. Under the 2-bedroom, the government has sanctioned 95,000 2BHK houses for 95 Assembly constituencies outside the GHMC area. In this approval, each constituency got 1,000 more houses where 1,400 houses already sanctioned.

Under weaker section housing programme, an order has been issued for the construction of 95,000 double bedroom houses. As per the information mentioned in the order, the ratio between rural and urban areas shall be 240:160, if the constituency has both rural and urban areas.

Funds available under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Grameen (PMAY-G) and Housing For All would be spent on the construction of these 95,000 houses by the Housing Department. The implement the housing scheme both in rural and urban areas would be done by the District Collectors.

Telangana State Housing Corporation Limited has been directed to take necessary action from sanctioning process to accessing funds from the funding agencies concerned for completion of the 95,000 houses sanctioned in coordination with the District collectors.
