Out of the thousand applicants of HUDA residential plot scheme in Karnal, 588 has withdrawn themselves from the scheme due to uncertainty over the draw. The draw result of the scheme was scheduled to be held on 24 November but was postponed after a stay put by the Haryana High Court.
The Hon’ble High Court put the stay vide interim order dated 21-11-2014 in CWP No. 23952 of 2014 titled as Harpreet Singh and Others Vs HUDA. After several requests from the applicants, HUDA admitted to release the notice regarding the withdrawal from the scheme and refund.
According to the list uploaded on HUDA website, 588 applicants have withdrawn themselves from the scheme and their amount will be refunded by HUDA along with an interest of 5.5% from the date of closure of the scheme i.e. 30 may 2014 till the actual payment date.
However, the applicants who do not withdraw from the scheme will also be paid 5.5% interest on their booking/registration amount after the closure of the scheme.
