2-Bedroom Housing Scheme: Telangana Sanctioned 2,000 Homes for Khammam

2-Bedrrom Housing Scheme: On the occasion of Independence Day, the Roads and Building Minister, T. Nageswara Rao has laid the foundation stone for the construction work of 400 two-bedroom houses at YSR Nagar in Raghunadhapalem mandal under Khammam Assembly constituency. The estimated cost for the construction of these housing units is Rs. 24.20 crore.

According to the information received from the source, Telangana state government has sanctioned around 2,000 housing units under 2-bedroom housing units to Khammam Assembly constituency.

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has agreed to sanction additional housing units to the constituency. The construction of housing unit under the scheme will cost around Rs. 5.25 lakh.

On the pathetic condition of Gollapadu channel in Khammam town, the once major irrigation channel now turned into an open drain, the Minister said the channel would will be restored and modernised.

According to his statement, the housing units would be available for the people living in the area adjoining the channel.

Khammam MLA Puvvada Ajay Kumar said plans are afoot to entrust the task of construction of the houses to the Roads and Buildings Department. The Chief Minister has assured to sanction additional housing units to the constituency keeping in view the large number of homeless poor people in Khammam and its surrounding mandals, he said.
