Price of DDA Housing Scheme 2016 Flats to be Almost Same

The news will definitely give relaxe to the people who are whishing to apply for flats in upcoming DDA housing scheme 2016.

According to the source, the the price Delhi Development Authority (DDA) flats in 2016 scheme will be same as that last years housing scheme.

In DDA scheme 2014, the price of LIG flats was around Rs. 18 to Rs. 20 lakh and the MIG flats were priced between Rs. 60 and Rs. 70 lakh. The Janta flats with 1 room and kitech were priced at around Rs. 10 lakh.

The rates slightly varied depending on the location and the size of the flat.

In the upcoming housing scheme of DDA, around 13,000 flats on offer, of which 350 2BHK flats will be available for MIG (Middle Income Group) and the remaining to be available either for Lower Income Group Flats (LIG) flats or in the category of Janta flats.

Most of flats in DDA housing scheme 2016 are from 2014 scheme. Out of total around, 10,500 flats are those which were surrendered in previous housing scheme and rest of the flats had not been previously allotted for different reasons or cancelled.

Senior official of DDA said that “Even as the flats get older, the land value increases. Secondly, there has been a slump in the real estate market. Therefore, we decided to go with old rates.” CRPF is also asking for 600 flats, but the decision on the same is not yet taken by the authority, the source added.

He said though it was expected that the this year’s scheme will be completely online but the agency might take the decision to keep the scheme open for online users as well as people wanting to register manually through banks.

According to the source, the authority is currently busy in the finalization of deal with the banks that would partner with DDA in the scheme. It is expected that the registration and application for DDA scheme 2016 will be announced in start of October near Diwali but now it would be rolled out in the middle or last week of November, sources said.

The flats are located mostly in Rohini, Dwarka, Narela, Vasant Kunj and Jasola, a senior official of DDA said.
Meanwhile, people will have to pay more for registration this time.

Unlike last housing scheme when people paid ` 1 lakh as security deposit for registration, this year they will have to pay ` 3 lakh for LIG houses and ` 5 lakh for MIG houses.
