Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Dehradun – Uttarakhand Govt. to Build 1 lakh Houses

After estimating the demand of housing under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Dehradun, Uttarakhand government is going to start the first phase of implementation of the scheme. The state government revealed about the number of affordable houses to be constructed under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in Uttarakhand.

As per the information received from the source, the housing department of the state will construct 1 lakh houses for homeless and poor people belonging to the categories of economical weaker section (EWS) and lower income group (LIG). And more than 50,000 application has already received by the the authority from the public for PMAY in Dehradun.

Applications for PM Awas Yojanna in Dehradun were recently invited from general public for affordable houses in the scheme and number of peoples gran this opportunity and filled the application form for EWS and LIG houses.

And to get the benefits of the scheme, 50,000 applicants applied across the state for the different components of the scheme including, Subsidy Loan Scheme, Beneficiary Led Construction, Affordable Housing Project and Slum Redevelopment Scheme. As per the information, the authority has received about 5862 applicants for affordable houses, 134 for BLC, 438 for PMAY Subsidy Scheme and 12557 for Slum Redevelopment Scheme.

Taking estimates from the above figures of housing demand, the board has decided to build 1 lakh houses for the eligible beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. For the construction of these housing units, the government will also tie-up with some Private Builders.
